Look for the CNBC website to relaunch on December 4, 2006. The site has been offline for the last six months after a five year deal with Microsoft expired.
The landing page up currently suggests a heavy focus on video and personalized tools and analysis. I expect that they are aiming squarely at at Bloomberg, as well as the finance areas of Google and Yahoo. With lots of great video content to pull from their tv affiliate, I expect it will be a compelling offering.

It’s about time they revamp it, their site sucked bigtime.
Wow, for a second I thought they were relaunching NBCi.com Ah, that was one of my favorite websites back in the days.
A revolutionary financial news experience! love it!! hehe.
I think it’s going to be great to see what an older media company does in relaunching a platform. It’ll be interesting to see what they believe will be important, etc.
I hear there’s going to be a paid section of the site that includes pictures of Becky Quick and Maria Bartiromo getting friendly.
You can see from their Pre-Registration page , that they haven’t learned much from the web2.0 world.
Hopefully they will spice it up with more pics of Becky Quick!

Their Terms of Agreement offers a detailed insight, not available in the hyped Flash website currently displayed
Hopefully they will take us a step ahead in placing more content than usual in video on the site.
It can’t be too good or no one will watch the show although that trend is heavily in place.
Check out http://www.wallstrip.com for a look at trends in the stock market put to short daily videos.
Heres a little more info on their paid service. I received an e-mail from them earlier this month.

I wonder if they will have the videos for Jim Cramer’s Mad Money.
That show is great and if nothing else..that will attract many eyeballs to their site.
Why wait?

do we know which agency built the site?
I’m a big fan of CNBC - I never really checked out their website though; It looks great - I’m a little more interested in the sphere it link and how you got that hooked onto your blog here - Aren’t they owned by google?
