nothing special at all. You essentially need to register and sign in to search for and DL TV shows that you can find faster anywhere else, especially any torrent meta search engine. it's like bloatware, but no software needed- just a pain in the ass to navigate to get something you can get just as easy if not easier some place else.

[...] I think the real win isn’t to distribute TV over mobile devices - that’s a niche service that isn’t likely to morph into a massive consumer market. But giving people TV over the Internet generally, where they can consume it on a normal television, a PC and/or a mobile device? That’s a killer product. We’re tracking two startups, The Venice Project and TIOTI, who are addressing this. But no one besides MobiTV has an existing, battle-tested platform, with distibution deals and relationships already in place. That is a large competitive advantage. [...]

I find it interesting that they used the word "tape" in their name. I think that term will eventually become extinct as it refers to recording. Since I'm 33 I "taped" music on cassettes and TV on VHS tapes but the youth of today only know "ripping" and "downloading".

Hey, if TIOTI can provide clean feeds for democracy player I would be sold. I want feeds that have been reviewed by a person that don't have duplicate episodes on them and can be used to download a whole season of TV during times I'm not using my computer.

the big issue with this place is that the torrents are just scraped from piratebay. nothing special. most peeps get their tv downloads from elsewhere (other sites like mininova or private sites). so theres an issue there. but its really whether the community aspect takes off. it really does beg the question why no ones thought of this before - a social network around tv.

For some reason I received an invite to this a couple of days ago. I joined and I'm pleased with what i've seen so far. It's very well thought out. The feeds are great as I'm not not forgetting to get my shows.
