As we mentioned a couple of weeks ago, the next TechCrunch party will be held in New York. The date and venue has been set - Thursday evening, November 16, 2006, at BED in Manhattan. The party will run from 7 - 11 pm. The venue has limited capacity and we are taking open signups for 450 right now. As always, this event is free.
Register for the event here. Additional information on the party is also on that page.
There will be lots going on. First of all, BED is a really cool venue. We’ll have plenty to eat and drink, and music will be played based on party-goers’ tastes, care of partyStrands (see our writeup of partyStrands here). There will also, of course, be a number of demo stations for new product launches.
Our sponsor Conduit will be providing a custom toolbar for everyone attending and connecting virtually to the party. It is called CRUNCHbar, download it here. Once installed, it will update every time we add new links that provide relevant party details and content.
The current sponsors of the party (the people who are paying for our drinks) are below. We still have limited sponsor slots available; email Jeanne Logozzo (jlogo@earthlink.net) for more information.

Ok, by any chance if you add more people to the (wait) list from these comments, please add me
even if you and your entourage don’t make it to the official gig, there’s still a great networking opportunity to meet nearby with guinness as the un-official sponsor.
the fact that you’re here means you think in 2.0 and great ideas are still be had before and after bed. ( afterbed.com? )
anyhow, i’m in chicago and have wings. someone from ny jump in here and hook us up with an afterbed venue. -todd
What an amazing venue. I wish I was able to pop over from New Zealand for the event. Maybe I could. We’ll see.
See you there Mike
Haha, man that was fast
Spaces ran out…that sucks.. I knew I should have read techcrunch this morning
Ticket sold out.. can we still go?
rex from Philadelphia
if waiting list is from comments please add me to, you can see I added a comment much earlier saying bah on selling out before my lunch time read.
As for new york get togethers, I’d be interested NY commuter from NJ here.
Mike
if you do open up some more spaces let me know, I’ll be in Toronto at the time and NY is a short hop away.
Didn’t get in… oh well. If you’re in town the night before, you might want to check out BizDev 2.0 up at Columbia: http://www.nextny.org/wiki/show/bizdev2 We’re only half sold out so far.
Woot, BizDev2, I am there. Looks like I am going to have to crash another techcrunch event …
I call bullsh*t. Hey Mike- I think you owe it to the readers here to explain how this announcement was stillborn when early in a.m. EST the day it was announced, the event was already allegedly “sold out”. Smacks of a ploy to create perceived buzz.
Apparently I missed the announcement. And to those angry commenters: you catch more bees with honey than you do by being an ass.
This event is hot! Hope it is expanded so that I’ll get the chance to join even though I was too late first round…
Jason- my ass catches plenty of bees, thankyouverymuch. I know Mike, he rocks, and I realize I’m not playing nice. I’m just jealous (as we all are) at the thought of missing such an event (and the preceedings did seem suspicious…)
Jason Schramm -
If your going to comment about bees, honey, etc, you might consider a gig with disney, but first you need to clean up your language …
Dude, I was late to the email and I still got registered.
Is anyone in NYC for InfoSec next week? We’ve got some folks going to The Killers at the Gardens and looking for others to go out afterwards.
Please add me to the wait list, if any spots become available - looking forward to attending the event!
Mike/Nick - please add me to the wait list as well. This is for sure gonna be *the* geek party in NYC.
I would really love to be there. If you are allowing anyone else to join you, please let me know.
Thanks,
Chris

Hi Mike- Jeff Pulver asked me to drop you a comment saying that he and I would like to attend the New York event. The eventbrite site says sold out, so please just let me know if we’re invited.
Jeff extended the invite to the Network2 party the night before, yes?

Hi, Mike. Please add me to wait list too please. I work for online ad company, and I am also interested in posting Korean version of TechCrunch. I am fluent in Korean and I have some friends in Korean Tech/Biz Community. Thanks in advance. Let me know if you invited me.
P.S. I see wait list ticket listed at eventbrite, but it wasn’t available. I wasn’t sure it was intended in that way or not though, so I am commenting.
Please add me to the invite list as well.
