We just posted the next podcast episode at TalkCrunch. This was a joint effort, with Om Malik, Robert Scoble and me talking for an hour on a range of topics, from the startups we’re most excited about to the state of VOIP to the upcoming Yahoo Hack Day. We also wish Om a happy birthday and talk about Robert’s new tv show, Scobleshow.com (it hasn’t launched yet, but you can see the trailer here).
I like the chemistry from this group, and I’m hoping we’re able to get together regularly and debate the tech issues of the week.

Web 2.0 thrives on the experience that veteran Techies have to offer. This will be a great collective intelligence project.
In response to Scoble’s suggestion that someone create a personal memeorandum type site based on the feeds an individual is interested in, Om mentioned a site that sounded like “personalbeat” (which doesn’t seem to be right) or something like that. Does anyone know what site he was talking about? I’d be curious to check them out.
Chip,
sorry for not spelling it out. I was talking about PersonalBee.com.
Om Malik rocks. When he’s on Cranky Geeks, it’s the best. I just subscribed on iTunes to TalkCrunch.
Thanks!
Thaed
Thanks, Om. Interesting site.
Yes, Om Malik does rock actually.
Could Scoble’s laugh be any more annoying?
Is good
ABCota: hey, I enjoy life. You should try laughing more. Anyway, where’s your podcast so we can make fun of your foibles?
I have no idea about your it site. It´s excellent. I really want to find a site like this.
Thank and I´ll be here frecuently
you mean the Techcrunch *cast if Apple wants to enforce the “Pod”trademark lets no longer advertise thier locked in DRM platform .
What was the url for the site they talked about halfway through the show? Something… squad.com?
This is strange. On iTunes 7 I only get the intro…….. only 40 seconds and 3.2M.
OK… after looking at the source you’re using two enclosure URLs and iTunes is only fetching the first one (the mov/video one).
The second one isn’t fetched…….. You might want to fix that :-/
I’m still going to try to get it on my ipod though… I hate listening to podcasts at my desk.
Kevin
Hey guys… one more note. I took the liberty of fixing it in my RSS feed.
http://feeds.feedburner.com/Feedblog
If you subscribe to that in iTunes 7 it should work just fine…
Obviously just a short term fix.
Hope this helps.
Kevin
Scoble, how do you know I don’t laugh? Anyway, you’re the one putting yourself out there. So, gotta take the criticism. I leave the broadcasting and podcasting to the professionals. Maybe something you should try.
Not to be too negative, but what could actually be learnt from listening to this podcast?
1. VOIP could challenge the very existence of regular carriers…. or maybe not.
2. Digg could challenge the very existence of NYT and the like… or maybe not.
3. Aggregate crowd wisdom could challenge traditional bookies.. or maybe not.
Would be nice to hear some more brave predictions in future casts. Sorry for the rant, but just because you are famous in the geek world does not mean that your chat over a cup of coffee will reveal any real insights.
Complete waste of time, nothing of value. Om Malik I enjoy your articles more in Business 2.0 Magazine. It isn’t the same on the podcasts… You seem to withold yourself. Seriously guys TechTV the way it is now is more interesting… which is scary…
Is there a transcript anywhere? Podcasts are kind of lame.
ABCota, if we left everything to professionals than we’ll still be getting our ‘tech’ news from sole outlets like big media and magazines.
Also I would love a transcript of the podcast, I too am not a big fan of them.
aloha Michael, great job. Thank you.
I’m curious how you would feel about fellow researchers/bloggers/podcasters cutting and pasting quotes from your mp3 file?
I’d like to be able to use the actual sound byte when appropriate for inclusion in my podcast. You know, the right technology for the right application -yada yada.
You do a great job and I appreciate your service and I want to step-up our offering for our listeners. I’m curious to learn your take on other researchers copying your reports, especially when it’s rich media that’s being the copied.
Again, by “copy” I mean sound bytes. Alsom if you’re totally kewl with it, how would you prefer to be quoted as the source?
Thanks for helping us all step-it-up!
