i just don’t get it…..how can the online job search market take on any more players? monsters, hotjobs, jobtrack, etc. etc. etc. if you’re looking for a job, you’ll spend months just looking for a job.

having said that, this is exactly what facebook should be launching. it’s a natural extension of a college social network to have a job board…..but alast, the founder of facebook is not an original thinker. now that myspace has launch this…he’ll have something to steal. (read the new yorker article if you don’t know what i’m talking about).

Thanks, Scott. The HRC is hands down the best place to research a company’s GLBT policies (but they don’t have any actual job listings). I tried the other sites, Simply Hired seems to have the most listings.

it’s great that there are a few other sites offering glbt-friendly job searches, however most job sites only source jobs from the employers that list directly on those sites — and while the HRC site is an exception, you still can’t do keyword-based job searches across all of those companies (altho if they integrated Simply Hired functionality, they certainly could… hint, hint

the goal with all the Simply Hired filters (working-mom-friendly, dog-friendly, GLBT-friendly, etc) is to provide BOTH keyword-based job search AS WELL AS broad-based search across all employer-friendly companies for specific employee segments & interests.

so not taking anything away from those other sites which already provided some level of GLBT-friendly jobs visibility, but i think the Simply Hired featureset does take it up a notch further. anyway, certainly can’t hurt make those jobs more visible to the GLBT community

Zed, where are these glbt friendly job searches? Other than this new one by Simply Hired, I don’t know of any other place you can find job listings at glbt-friendly companies.

I think that kind of positioning is great as a job search website. I guess, smoothly, they can soon be at the side of the big players like monster.
