I found a cool additional service on Yahoo Photos. This service allows you get an archive of photos from Yahoo Photos account or send a gift. Many people avoid unlimited space and bandwidth because it does not exist and bandwidth is a commodity that someone needs to pay for eventually. The term unlimited is only a marketing strategy go through the TOS of companies offering unlimited bandwidth and you will find some restrictions after all nothing in the world is unlimited.

The new version of the site includes tagging of photos, smart folders, ajax drag and drop photo organizing and a simple photo editor. Storage space in Yahoo! Photos is free, though early users of the new system are reporting that there is still a 300 image limit to albums and a 5MB limit to individual photo size. The new site will be limited to US users for now but will roll out to users around the rest of the world in coming months, according to InfoWorld’s coverage. […]

Technrunch пишет: Новые возможности собраны из лучших фич Фликра (куча аякса, тэггинг и сеты (альбомы), возможность добавления фоток через drag and drop), так же присутствуют и совершенно новые штучки. Объем закаченных фоток и траффик не ограничены, возможность закачивать и скачивать фотки оригинального размера, редактирование тэгов по щелчку мыши. Две дополнительных фичи - куча фоток показывается на отдельной странице и “smart albums” (умные альбомы). Умные альбомы это автоматическое создание альбомов на лету, на базе установленных параметров (рэйтинга, тэгов, даты и т.п.), а так же вставки фоток друзей. С помощью этих альбомов пользователи могут создать такие штучки как “топовые фотки” или “новые фотки”, которые будут создаваться на лету. […]

YOU CAN”T!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It says it all over the place when you join beta.

“There are four important things you must know before you decide to join the beta:

1. 1. This is a one-way ticket!
Your account in the New Yahoo! Photos Beta will replace your current Yahoo! Photos account (we’ll move your existing account for you). Once you’re in the beta, you can’t go back to the old version.”

Then you have to click a box next to—-

“I understand that once I’m in the beta I can’t go back to the old Y! Photos, and I still want in!”

They didn’t exactly trick you now did they
