[...] A bevy of Myspace focused third party widgets have launched recently (see Tagworld Widgets and MyPickList, for example). I don’t see these services as a sign of over-infatuation with Myspace, but simply a realization that, with nearly 80 million members, Myspace is an entire economy unto itself. Companies are going to find a way to participate in that economy as deeply as possible, with ever-more-tailored products. [...]

Very cool - can't wait to see where they go with this. One thing I would like to note is that Bunchball widgets allow your page visitors to interact with you and with each other, which the current selection of Tagworld widgets don't. You can also customize several aspects of Bunchball widgets - size and color for all of them, and other settings depending on the widget.

The website allows developers to post their own widgets that in turn will allow users to add these widgets to their own website. The existing widgets that are available could be very handy to most webmasters. Current widgets available for download include a personal Video Recorder (allows the webmaster to leave video clips for readers), Daily Horoscope, Photostack and a whole lot more. For a complete list of the available widgets and for more information on how you can utilize these create technologies please visit TagWorldWidgets.com.
Billy,

Do you mean an ad widget for MySpace? If so, that's against the TOS (we don't even know how they'll take to MyPickList et al).

I like the idea, pushing Tagworld content onto Myspace to entice people over. Unfortunately these games are godawful. I just wish there was a convenient 'Browse' feature on Tagworld, so that I could find out which of my friends in my town are on it, instead of searching each individual name and wasting a whole bunch of time. Until then my profile will collect friendless dust.

These widgets look really cool.

Tagworld should surely take over myspace, mainly because they seem to be having a lot of elements, which they can easily turn into money making machines. Just about time.

Btw, your link to tagworldwidgets.com is broken.

Cheers,
Pratik
