This is the last time I will write about Memeorandum because, thank God, it has been renamed by founder Gabe Rivera. The technology part of the blog aggregator Memeorandum, formerly at tech.memeorandum.com, is now TechMeme.
Thank you Gabe, for finally taking that name out back and shooting it. I can’t tell you how many times I mistyped it. My previous posts on Memeorandum, now TechMeme, are here. If you don’t know what TechMeme is, read my first two posts on it, here and here, to get an understanding of why it’s important.
The politics blog aggregator can still be found at memeorandum.com.

This is probably a wise idea, but I’ll now lose the feeling of smug superiority I have whenever I hear omega-geeks mispronounce the name…
of course perhaps some creative pronunication or enunciation is in order so we can retain the secret-handshake-goodness of the original.
Might I be so bold as to propose techMEM-e, or perhaps Tech mehme or even tech-meem just so long as we keep the non-geeks uncomfortably off kilter it’s all the same to me, really it is…

Now have techmeme included into http://popurls.com and i won’t have to leave the house anymore.
you’ll have to excuse me, but I’ve been experiences all of this web 2 stuff only through the net.
how does one pronounce Memeorandum?
Thank God… everyone always thought I was crazy when I tried to say it!
I agree 100 percent on this one. Thanks for the name change!
Bill – “me”+”more”+”andum”
Congratulations Gabe! The previous name was “cute,” but obviously challenging for most everyone…:)
Of course, it’s not actually TechMeme, which would be a great name.
It’s Techmeme, which looks kind of dumb but will probably make Oliver happy since folks will pronounce it Tech Me Me.
