I like the customization options on this one. Perhaps not as advanced in terms of feed manipulation, but the module appearance is great. Here’s a quick tip on using Google Reader’s features with an app like Feedo Style to make a “related content” module:

RapidFeeds MySite Launched in January this year does the same thing.

It also allows any one to add a Feed to their website by just clicking an +MySite button similar to +MyYahoo.

…and the +MySite button is also visible on the content panel of the re-syndicated feed which helps to spread the source feed viraly.

I was looking for something like FeedoStyle…but it didn’t work out like I’d hoped. It worked great in Firefox and froze like a popsicle in IE.

I’ve been using FeedDigest for a couple of months and find it works very well.

As for the scrolling feature looks like some scripts[url=http://www.dynamicdrive.com/dynamicindex17/rsspausescroller/index.htm

Our ajax website/blog management system already has this built in. Its such a simple feature to implement that I am suprised an entire service is based on it. Am I missing something?

Echoing what others said above, the problem with services like this is scaling. Big thumbs down on relying on third parties to serve content on the page.

This is great, I have been asking for something like this all over the net. They should build a library of shareable templates. They also need to allow images to be displayed. They could do this by linking to a RSS altering service like Feed43 where you can add an image tag when recreating a RSS feed.

Is this not the same as Feedburners bit of JavaScript for displaying feeds on web pages?
It suffers from the same performance issues of holding up the display of a page till it fetches the feed from feedburner and the JavaScript can execute.

Thanks for the FeedDigest support folks. We’ve spoken to Michael in the past and asked him not to profile us until we launch our next version. We’ve been very focused on scalability and being fast, and now serve between two and three million digests per day, but as a small company this comes at the price that we have to grow slowly and steadily.

We’re happy to see tools like Feedostyle enter the fray, as there’s always a requirement for different levels in the market (we’re not greedy!)

This is not exctly a new thing but you have done a good thing for introducing us FeedoStyle. This was many readers like me have got to know about it. FeedoStyle is still in its beta version and that is why it is natural that some problems will occur. HOwever, if they can oevrcome the problems then it has a good prospect.

Three short remarks:

1. feedostyle has serious performance issues. Over the last 7 days, it was down more than 3 days. Over the last month, it was down half of the time.

2 The idea is very old. Sites like http://www.feedonsite.com and others like rssdigest have been delivering this service for a long time now, with great performance.

3. when a feed is badly formed, the whole thing collapses

Concluding: old idea, bad execution.
