How about not just polishing products, but not lauching another until they see how it could screw up something else.

We're owed $9k from Google and they're refusing to pay us for nothing more than payment glitches. We're not even banned, and I know this because their ads are still displaying on our sites.

Why would I trust the use any other product of Google's, especially one had anything to do with my money, my checking account, or credit card numbers being involved, or other financial information if they can always fall back on..."Well, we won't pay you until we figure out the glitch", meanwhile you have to pay your vendors or they'll end up suing you.

Any idea if Google Payments will launch as a beta product? I don’t see it taking off if it launches as a beta — who on earth would trust a beta payment system? You can’t tell the customer “oops, we lost that transaction. please wait, but hey it’s free and it’s beta.” Frankly, Google is starting to feel tired. They need to do a better job at polishing products before they release them. It feel like they’re flinging noodles against the wall and hoping one sticks.

[...] Google Base already has methods in place for people to accept payments through Google, though those seem to be on a per-transaction basis. TechCrunch showed off some screenshots of a seller reputation page in the beginning of March. The new patent application includes the consolidation of payments to sellers, which would make micropayments more viable, and also a reputation management system. [...]

Hilarious it's quite funny how only geeks become very happy when Google is releasing something new, and the general population can care less.

Google is known for being an ok search engine by the majority of the world, but saying everything Google put's it's name on is going to be a success it rediculous.

Google Talk = Sucks
Google Earth = Sucks
Froogle = Sucks
Google Base = Sucks
GMail = OK
Google = OK
Google Wallet = Will Suck

Any idea if Google Payments will launch as a beta product? I don't see it taking off if it launches as a beta -- who on earth would trust a beta payment system? You can't tell the customer "oops, we lost that transaction. please wait, but hey it's free and it's beta." Frankly, Google is starting to feel tired. They need to do a better job at polishing products before they release them. It feel like they're flinging noodles against the wall and hoping one sticks.
