Zigtag’s Personal Knowledge Library
by Michael Arrington on March 4, 2006

I almost got a personal demo of Reg Cheramy’s Zigtag tonight…Reg stopped by my house and talked a big game, but ultimately said he wanted to wait a bit before demo’ing his product to me.

Zigtag promises a lot - saying “Zigtag will transform how people search, save and share knowledge & information important to them” on the landing page that also asks for your email. I’m not completely sure what this means, but it sounds like it might be useful.

Consolidating your stuff to an online service is an exploding area right now - lots of the storage services are differentiating themselves by offering this type of thing. I’m looking forward to trying out zigtag when Reg is finally ready. Until then I have to settle for his flip card demo (seen in picture), and hope that some good software is on the way. On a completely unrelated note, this is my first post from my new MacBook Pro. Wow, what a computer!

Michael,

Thanks for the coverage! I’m telling you my PPT 0.5 featured in the photo is the next craze! It’s all about the tags.

As a Canadian, I wouldn’t talk such a big game if I couldn’t back it up.

Sorry for being such a tease but it will be worth the wait.

It was great to finally meet “the man” and I’ll catch up with you in a couple months when I’m back down here.

Reg,

Pick a card, any card.

Mike,

My daughter has a Mac and she wont let me near the keyboard. I am a shareware junkie in recovery, and she still does not trust me.

I am considering switching but I am not sure what I will lose, if anything.

Jennifer,

That’s my ‘Blue Steel’ pose…. I’m working on some others but you gotta go with what works!

Reg

Who is that mysterious man? Reg, is that you? You’re going to get yourself into big trouble down there for tearing those mattress “tags” and transporting over state lines and the border! - God speed man ;-)

Hey there,
So do you have the mac in some sort of docking station? If not, what will happen if you close the lid completely? I just ordered a MacBook and was hoping I could use it in some sort of docked mode, but wasn’t sure.?

You can tell this product zigtag doesn’t have much interest when most of the comments are about Mike’s Macbook

I love my new computer. The only problems so far are porting over archived emails and having to repurchase all of the PC software (office, photoshop, etc.) that I already owned.

Michael, not sure 100% of your needs, but this may help in transferring your email to your Mac http://www.littlemachines.com/

I’m in no way connected with this product. I’ve purchased and used it before and it did the job for me.

why are you writing about companies you know nothing about, with no product to see? i think this problem has existed before, vapourware style.
oh, nice advertising for apple!

Interesting. I just went to http://web2.0central.com/ and I was struck by Microsoft getting all groovy community-oriented web2.0, and wondering how they do that with their history and their proprietary software paradigm. Is this oxymoronic or am I missing some wonderful new transformation that has caused Microsoft to become - dare I say it? - almost open source?

But he’s is still stuck in the dotcom bubble trying to rasie money with nothing actually working, big scam.

A company claiming to be bigger than Google but with nothing to business plan, process model or achitecture design.

I smell a stock scam.

Love that Apple
