Stickam will launch tomorrow, February 15. The service allows users to easily create video and audio files, and additional tools to easily post these files to a website with a code snippet.
The media files are played on the destination website in Flash. Bunchball has similar technology for integration of flash games into blogs and other websties.
Stickam is free, has no bandwidth restrictions and up to 500 mb of storage.
These are the kinds of tools that are already integrated quite nicely into sites like Tagworld. But if you are a more serious blogger and want to add just a bit of flair to your blog, Stickam may be for you.

“Serious blogger” I doubt it. By the look of it Stickam will only appeal to students… or teenagers of the age 14.
Everything there is very gimmicky…
Well, like I said in that post, I think the major appeal of Stickam is for social sites like MySpace and to some extent Xanga, LiveJournal etc. Tagworld is a great suggestion too. And I guess a few eBay sellers might give it a go.
I think the point you missed is that Stickam’s major offering is a live webcam stream of you sitting at your PC. The other stuff is really secondary. Using the video streaming, you can conduct live videoconferences directly on a blog or social site – you can definitely see how this could take off on MySpace.
They havent got a bad idea here but for some reason i see this going off the rails – I can see them getting greedy once they have a userbase. But stranger things have happened…
yeah I saw Pete’s review earlier.. and this is going to spread like wildfire thru myspace users… 2ch channel …and theres a lot of users out there.. but it will fail if they dont have scability and dc planning done well. If service fails, then it will just fizzile away…like many other of the the web2.0 companies
My360 has a better blogging system
I love plain text.
nah, i think this sounds good
“Stickam is free, has no bandwidth restrictions and up to 500 mb of storage.”
I know storage and bandwidth are supposed to be cheap, but I have to admit that I can’t get my head around the economics of offering unlimited bandwidth. Maybe someone from one of the online storage companies can help me out with some pointers or an explanation? I’d really love to understand this. – rajat
This is actually really cool, I have been playing with it today, it also has a clientless VoIP flash piece. So you’re on my blog, watching my live video feed, if you enter the chat, we have a VoIP conversation, in real time and it is pretty good. There seems to be a bunch of other features as well.

huuuummm….. this service already has existed for a few weeks.
“gimmicky”, what you feel is just what they supposed to do.
Pimp your blog? I would rather Pimp Your Google. A fun, parody, site – http://www.pimpyourgoogle.com
Here’s a discussion of why video is the future. Tek Tawk
I think Stickam is so cool tool.I’m Japanese, but I try to use this FREE(wow!) service every day and I want to make lots of friends all over the world!!
isn’t this “skype” flying under the radar?!
“Stickam will launch tomorrow, February 15″ … I’ve been using it for a couple of weeks now, on my main site: http://www.coachfu.com and here as well: http://nano.coachfu.com – I like it!
Would be great if you use other wording instead of PIMP in respect of the Human Trafficking – (Pimp controled slavery/prostitution) problems in our world. I know what you are trying to say by using that word, but our language has more other words to describe that. Sorry if this out of topic, but you know my concern.
Hi Wahyu, the title is a play on the MTV show “Pimp My Ride”, where they take old cars and add a little bling. I apologize if I offended anyone. I think the word now has an alternate meaning to the traditional “manager of a prostitute.”
Just what exactly does it DO?
