Ning 2.0
by Michael Arrington on February 13, 2006

Ning is announcing on their company blog that they will be releasing new suff on Wednesday. I’m looking forward to this, and I’m hoping that they make me eat my critical words on them.

If the release includes features that I saw at their office a couple of weeks ago, I suspect I may.

  • That is good news, but what does this mean for current Ning apps like TeamSportsBars.com and others?

  • Frank: The existing Ning apps will continue to work fine. However, the example apps will all be upgraded. Fortunately, there’s an easy route for users to upgrade their existing apps to the new features using our “Merge” and “Reclone” buttons. I’m going to blog about them on the main Ning blog. In the meantime, if anyone has specific questions about upgrading their apps or other stuff to do with the new release, get in touch: yozg (at) ninginc.com.
