Ok, so i did my due diligence and finally found the ether site, beta test information; and like the above poster, found you need some type of “code”.
Does anyone have a code to share?? No more chasing my tail for this one. I went to the ingenio.com site and found it was linked to a http://www.keen.com, which I found was linked to a SEX Site, http://www.niteflirt.com. OK, so what gives??

I’m told that most of the revenue they have made comes from the SEX Site. DUH! But maybe that tells a web developer/reporter like me why Ingenio doesn’t want to “Share” their development code- (If you notice, they do not have any LICENSING solutions for others wanting to use their system.

I guess that’s ingenio’s version of what one might call SAFE HEX??!!

That url to the sign-up page asks for an access code to finish the signing up process. Do you know where I can get one? Was there one for you when you signed up or did you go through a link that provided one for you? I just wanted to know, because beta testers get a 10% fee taken out of profit to pay for services while everyone else get a 15%. Just trying to squeeze every cent if I can. Thanks!

Ingenio makes all their money via a pay per advice service, mainly psychics and independent microsoft office support tele-engineers. I.e. the reverse of pay per call (where the advertiser pays the fee) in that the consumer is paying a per minute fee.

So perhaps this is advice 2.0 that allows people to charge for things like webevents, consulting calls etc. and using blogs to establish the credibility of those participants up front.

Actually, I’ve known a couple of the guys on the Ether team for a long time, and from the trifles they’ve shared with me, this could be absolutely huge.

But then again, I’m still puzzled about the failure of the Delorean…

I am not down with the scavenger hunt with the amount of information available in the blogosphere. I hope ether adds to their explaination upon launching to avoid confusion.
