Tagworld does not support Linux and open source. It rather supports corporate giant Microsoft's approach of ".net"

How can a site claim it's about community if it rather supports private businesses than reaching out to the free exchange of ideas and information.

Support the online community and open source. Linux, Apache, MySql, etc.. and maybe the community will support Tagworld too..

Hi Michael,

"I have not seen a solution that offers both uploading and bookmarking functionality, allowing users to choose to upload or just point to another site for video. This seems like an evolutionary step forward to me."

=> This feature is in the leading French video service Pooxi.com since june 2005 ;)

[...] Bill over on TechCrunch asks the following question about TagWorld’s inclusion of video on the site. What is the revenue model? And, moreover, what about google video? Adding video to the social network is interesting, and fun, but how it’s going to be central to revenue generation is beyond me. [...]

The next big thing is revenue generating content created by users. Something that users want to do, and when they do it, it generates revenue....

"TagWorld automatically detects if a file is music/audio, video, or another type of file and categorizes it approriately... Again, I’ve not seen this on any other service."

Hi Michael,

You might want to check out Streamload MediaMax, which currently does this. When you upload a file to Streamload MediaMax, the system identifies your file type and organizes it into one of several media-specific categories: VideoShare, PhotoShare, TV & Movie Locker, and Music Locker. Plus, Streamload MediaMax offers free accounts that include 25 GB of online storage. Definitely worth checking out.

[...] According to Michael Arrington, Tagworld is to launch a video service tomorrow. What caught my eye was: Alternatively, videos from YouTube and other video sharing sites can be “bookmarked” directly into the My Videos area, and/or directly into the user’s TagWorld page for streaming to visitors.
