The Web 2.0 WorkGroup continues its expansion with the addition of three awesome new bloggers – Ben Barren, Stowe Boyd and Steve Rubel. Robert Scoble joined last week. It’s becoming an increasingly fun place to hang out, even if two of our members lost their minds earlier this week (temporarily I hope). What I’m really looking forward to is seeing if Ben Barren writes emails the same way he writes his blog posts (our email list is quite active).

Yeah what good is a “web 2.0″ workgroup if your members don’t eat their own dogfood
I guess I’m off the hook on the non-compete section of my contract with Corante! Whoo hoo!
Its the law of increasing noise with a heat seeking signal behind it mike. To compare each medium :
- on email im louder and more direct than blogs (as its less public or edited)
- on IM im more opinionated (depending on if someone has history tracking on)
- on phone, ask mr macmanus, first time i spoke to him he said “you talk like you blog” and i think he was a bit scared
- in person, i like bbq, beer, ‘beauty’ and a great ‘yarn’ (said with aussie drawl) but not exactly introspective !!!
Mike, have you received my last email?i also want to join this workgroup.i think i have the qualification to take part in.
Phoenix,
Yes, I did receive your email – thank you very much! We are going to hold steady at the current members for now, regroup in the new year and decide on our direction. We’ll ping you then – having someone on the ground in China is very intereesting for us…
ok,i see.
I know there is some new discussion about the web2.0 these days. I don’t agree with russell’s opinion. At least the chinese market attitude of web2.0 is still very enthusiastic. Wish we can find out a balance between the definition and applicaiton of web2.0 to make mostly people comfortable.
I will waiting for your ping after the new years. Thanks!
Merry X’ms and Happy new year to all the guys care or not care web2.0
A great web2.0 review map is available right here :
