New Look At Del.icio.us
by Michael Arrington on November 21, 2005

Del.icio.us just put up a completely new site. Recent bookmarks on the left, popular bookmarks on the right.

It’s about time. :-) Nice one, Joshua.

  • Just to compliment this post, I ran into this low-key site that tracks the users who post the most popular links.

  • Oops, the link did not show. The site is called del.icio.us pioneers. http://del.mailliw.com/ (Does anyone have the time to browse this many links or digest this information?)

  • what about sharing more than favorites. What about feeds? i search feeds news and see my own plua popular and recent feeds of others. Id see the feed itself as well as the source. Feeds are todays favorites. Can delic do that? can we tag a feed in such a way as to make it searchabele. Like can i search for feed cars and find others feeds about cars? then i too can subscribe.favorites ar dead and feeds are live.

  • I dig the new design but what I’m wondering is when we will see new features that’ll help us better manage our del.icio.us?

Apart from the more intuitive interface when creating tag bundles (which still, should be using AJAX, not just for the sake of it, but because AJAX is meant for such cases), the “rename tags” feature still can’t scale for power users and we still haven’t seen a mass-editing feature (edit many bookmarks’ details –not just tags!– at once).

Here’s to hoping some of these changes/features find their way into del.icio.us soon.

  • “what about sharing more than favorites. What about feeds?”

Although such is possible with del.icio.us as it is, there is a new site that is meant to do just that and thus has some nice features del.icio.us never will for feeds. It’s still private BETA, but you can find it at:
