[...] That said, there are some interesting weblogs out there regarding ’social software’ even though their critique may be a little raw. Many folks are working towards getting at the heart of the Web 2.0 revolution. I agree that visualizations such as Tim O’Reilly’s or Dion Hinchcliffe’s are not simple enough — they’re too jargon-filled and don’t do much to describe the big picture in human-readable terms. I really like Richard MacManus’s breakdown: “Web 2.0 is really about normal everyday people using the Web and creating things on it - forget the acronyms.” Susan Mernit also captures this well: “The heart of Web 2.0 is the user… The tools power it, but the people do it.” [...]

I think you should point out (as Qumana does) that their survey is biased because they only surveyed their customers

I love Qumana but you can't extrapolate from their customer base into the general blogosphere. For example, none of their customers use the Mac because Qumana is Windows only so none of the many bloggers using Macs are included in their survey.

Man, with all the press that SaveMyAss.com is getting, I'm really feeling sorry for my good friend Mike... who had that same idea quite some time ago and just never got around to putting it in action.
