VideoEgg.com is having some problems today - the site appears to be offline. Hopefully it's just DNS issues and not a real problem with their infrastructure.

I've tested it and it's an interesting and nice app (here a demo video)
http://skytg24.blogs.com/sky_tg24_pianeta_internet/2005/09/videoegg.html

It's a sort of jusspress http://www.jusspress.com/ but instead of using a desktop software (jussdrop) Videoegg uses a plugin browser embedded.

Both these 2 apps are very interesting but have some limitations: do not allow to host the files on your own server (good for private bad for companies); limited lenght allowed (for Jusspress only 2 minutes for each video).

An other problem with the flv/swf they produce is that it's bigger than an wmv, for instance (but new Flash release promise a better and optimized codec).

Marco

ps: by the way you guys at Techcrunch have a fantastic blog ;)

Great app to publish NEWS not seen on western TV Channels (like the tsunami in Indonesia, short while ago air plane crash and now bird flue) material what never would see daylight on western channels, it would be to schocking to air for the eues of western people. Tough great to publish for friends or family back in Europe. I used a old pinacle capture card connected to my TV tuner and recognized without any problems, so as my old Kodak web cam and firewire card. One problem tough... It is not made (yet) for use on low bandwidth (modem) which are still number one used devices in this part of Asia. So would be handy to have a bandwidth/quality setting to keep files as small as possible. I see in the 2.0 business very good ideas tough the low bandwidth users seems to be forgotten...
