[...] Scrybe looks to be a unique online calendar application that works just fine when you’re offline, too. Just open the site in the browser as if you were online - the app will sync the next time you are online. The calendar view auto-expands and minimizes depending on what you are looking at. It also allows seemless cut and paste and integration with Office documents, as well as a way to bookmark and grab content from websites. They’ve even thought through proper printing of calendars, to-do lists and other content (this feature reminds me of possibly the least technically advanced startup we’ve covered).
My 12-year-old son makes books like this all the time - like tjwood since he was a baby.

For me, I just fold any old blank sheet of paper into the eight squares and write notes. I don't even bother with the middle cut in the paper.

Just my twopence worth.

My wife and I are really into keeping lists of what we want to accomplish each weekend. We used to juggle a few sheets of paper every weekend; one for the to-do list, one each for different shops and markets, etc. For the past few weeks we've been using PocketMods to record everything for the weekend (different pages for different lists), and everything's always there - no more going to the supermarket with the to-dos but not the shopping list. We're lovin' it.

Good for kids and fair grounds. If you want to throw it away it makes good sense. If you want something that can be filed and a serious system for gtd the diyplanner hipster and/or classic planner makes more sense. (btw the original pocketmod borrowed and distorted some of the diy designs without asking permission or giving due credit.)From a legal and ethical standpoint this is enough to give me a bad feeling about what is otherwise a cute and fun gimmick...

Attn 5th grade: when folds complete ,sharpen creases again using thumb and fingernail.Put two staples vertical in booklet back near to edge known as the spline. Trim excess off bottom and right side with scissors .This will allow the back of the sheet to become more pages too and stand little book up.. Feel free to decorate with your sharpies, pen, pencil, dollar store stickers, glitter, glue on holy cards, what have you.You now changed a sheet of paper into a booklet.

[...] You know all those great websites that teach you how to do things by yourself? You know, the sites like building your own multi-level desk, turn a HotWheels into a Flash Drive, and cool utilities that help make planners, like PocketMod (TechCrunch). Well, if you are trying to find more DIY (Do it Yourself) tutorials, then I would take a look at the new service, Instructables, a step by step collaboration site. Instructables is great and you can find just about anything in there already! How does it have so many already? It is because instead of people making websites to show how they make things, they can now go here and use their interface and great features to show everyone! [...]

Nice idea ... shame the folding leaves the edges a bit untidy. It's annoying that the unfolded edges are at the top when you fold it according to instructions. I will have to try doing it the opposite way around.
