If we drilled down into the numbers Pheedo published, the top news readers varied by category. This could also account for the difference.

I find that very odd. Pluck is number 8 for me - and far behind Bloglines (still no. 1 for me by a long shot).

Is TechCrunch perhaps a default feed in Pluck??

Pluck has certainly made a recent comeback, but it is not in that magnitude.

No, in a word. But then I am in a different sphere (wine and food) so take up of RSS is generally a lot lower than clued-up techie people. Pluck doesnt even register.
